Marc
E. Stewart has represented injured clients from the moment he graduated from
law school in 1999, earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas
College of Law. Before
opening his own firm in 2002, he served as an associate attorney with the Mallia
Law Firm (Houston, Texas) which is recognized for its excellence in trial work.
His legal focus has always been in the area of medical malpractice.
Mr. Stewart earned his undergraduate
degree, a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, from Texas A&M University.
Prior to attending
law school, he accumulated a wealth of real-life experience including working
as a musician, marketing steel products, and serving as a legislative aid in
the United States Congress. In his youth, he worked in the oil field industry
with his father.
Mr. Stewart is a member
of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Arkansas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association
(TTLA), Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for
Justice (AAJ).
In January, he opened a
new office in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and now splits his time between Texas and
Arkansas where he has
parents and other family stretching from Texarkana to Little Rock.
Mr. Stewart is happily married
to wife Lauron who is a marketing advisor and speaker.
Together they have two young daughters.

Blake A. Deady, Attorney
|
Blake A. Deady graduated from Texas
A&M University in 1998 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of
Houston in 2004. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas shortly following
his graduation, and then to the U. S. Southern District of Texas, February,
2005. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association,
Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Center for Legal Ethics
and Professionalism, and the American Bar Association. He
practices in the areas of litigation, medical malpractice, negligence, personal
injury, and consumer law.
Upon graduating from Texas
A&M, Mr. Deady accepted a one-year Pre-doctoral Fellowship position with the
Texas Heart®, Institute (THI) at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in the Texas Medical
Center. As a Fellow and research intern, Mr. Deady divided his time between
Comparative Cardiovascular Pathology and the Cullen Cardiovascular Research
Laboratories where he completed qualifications for FDA preclinical validation
studies (GLP--Good Laboratory Practices). At the conclusion of his fellowship,
THI offered Mr. Deady a Senior Research Assistant position where he became a
member of a cardiovascular surgical research team investigating a variety of
preclinical and clinical research endeavors. Such projects included the Jarvik
2000 FlowMaker®, the AbioCor® implantable replacement heart (the first completely
self-contained total artificial heart), mechanical replacement valves, stem
cell regeneration of ischemic myocardium, BioGlueå surgical adhesive, and near-infrared
spectroscopy to monitor regional cerebral oxygen saturation during infrarenal
aortic cross-clamping.
Mr. Deady's research culminated
in a study evaluating antibody inhibition of the body's inflammation response
to cardiopulmonary bypass which was conducted in the baboon model. When not
in the surgical labs, Mr. Deady was part of a cardiovascular pathology research
team integral in designing software used to microscopically evaluate atherosclerotic
plaque and coronary stenosis.
Mr. Deady has co-authored
two medical manuscripts accepted for publication, one in The Annals of Thoracic
Surgery, over 20 medical abstracts and presentations, and personally presented
research involving steroid-eluting cardiac pacemaker wires at the 46th Annual
Conference of the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs in New York,
June 2000.
Mr. Deady remains intimately
involved with medicine in his practice which focuses on medical negligence.
He has particular personal interest in the complex issues of medical peer review
and medical mistakes and has written an extensive paper addressing these topics.

Delynda
Reed, Legal Assistant
Ms.
Reed has provided attorney support for civil litigation firms since 1987. Her
extensive experience includes
litigation in many areas of personal injury law including wrongful death, medical
malpractice, automobile accidents, premises liability, oil & gas litigation,
admiral & maritime cases, construction accidents, and product liability cases
including Ford/Firestone Explorer Rollover cases.
Ms. Reed receives praise from employers and clients regarding her prompt assistance
to their needs and is an important link between the client and their attorney.
She has volunteered time working with the Houston Trial Lawyers Association
and Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation including assisting with charitable events
at a local Houston area underprivileged elementary school.
Ms. Reed holds an Associates
in Applied Science degree from Alvin Community College where she graduated with
honors. At home, she enjoys spending time with her two young boys, weekend retreats
to the country, cooking, flower gardening, and outings with friends. She anticipates
returning to college in the future and obtaining a degree in law or pharmaceuticals.
